We should probably give the title of this blog a little bit of context. WH04 RUG is the numberplate that used to adorn the Fringes of Plymouth Vauxhall Astra van. Long since sold, the number plate has been on retention for a long time.
As business becomes busier and busier, the need for a new van has grown exponentially. This isn’t something that has gone unnoticed – Charlotte as a busy business owner, just hasn’t managed to find the time. Until recently, almost by force.
Charlotte’s personal car, whilst a nice, comfortable car, isn’t practical for rug deliveries, carpet measures and carpet uplifts. It’s also a lot more expensive to run, and the miles are racking up fast! Finally realising the need for a van was becoming unavoidable, she decided it was time to make a new van a priority.
The chosen van, a white Renault Trafic is perfect for the needs of Fringes of Plymouth. Spacious and practical, it just needs a few little details added to make it a real Fringes of Plymouth vehicle.
First thing is to apply sign writing to advertise our businesses – after all, we don’t want our van to be another invisible white van. Then we added carpet to the rear of the van to make it a little bit less “industrial”. Now with new sign writing applied and new carpets in the rear, this really has become a van that we can be proud of.
What better way to show how proud we are of this van than to adorn it with our beloved WH04 RUG plate?
